Other Ways to Support Food 4 Souls
Meeting the daily needs of the homeless individuals we serve is a core focus of Food 4 Souls. Providing sustaining resources not only allows us to tangibly show the love of Christ, but also allows us to build the critical relationships needed in order to assist an individual beyond a life of homelessness. Donations of "In Kind Gifts" not only allows F4S to live out a core function of its mission, but also allows the organization to allocate funds to other critical services areas that would have otherwise not been possible. Additionally, many volunteers have brought positive awareness to both homelessness and Food 4 Souls through drives and fundraisers in efforts to collect these critical daily resources.

What Types Of Resources Can I Donate to Food 4 Souls?
Prayer - Psalm 127:1 says that "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." We fully acknowledge that it is God that is in the business of changing lives, not us, so we ask that you join us in praying that He go before us to soften and prepare the hearts of the people that we are serving. Pray for our organization, volunteers, our partners, and the homeless community.
Time - Your time is among the most valuable gifts that you can give to Food 4 Souls. Whether it is volunteering for a "Service Sunday", visiting someone that is transitioning from homelessness, or spending time collecting resources or raising awareness, we cannot fulfill our mission without you!
Tents/Tarps - Nearly all of the homeless individuals F4S serves are living outdoors. The most common forms of shelter include tents and man-made shacks. These structures are often damaged due to heavy rains, floods, and snow, which in turn leaves homeless individuals without one of the most basic human needs. Tarps can be used as added protection from the elements.
Blankets - Blankets are a critical, life sustaining need for homeless individuals, especially in the winter months. Many times, blankets serve as the only means of warmth as electricity and/or other heat or energy producing resources are not available.
Socks & Underwear - We often take basic items like this for granted, but these are amongst the most appreciated by the homeless community. Clean socks and underwear not only serve an important role in clean hygiene, but have been a critical part of helping F4S volunteers build relationships as very few service organizations provide these items (Men's & Women's SM, Med, Lrg, XL)
Toiletries - Basic daily living items such as toilet paper, wet wipes, deodorant, razors, feminine products, etc. Important items that are used with frequency.
Batteries - AA, AAA, C, and D, batteries are almost always in high demand and often requested. The lack of access to electricity requires the need for portable power resources. Flashlights, lanterns, and radios are what often drive this need in the camps.
Flashlights - These serve as the primary and, typically, only light sources within the camps.
Hand Warmers - These are in high demand in the winter to help deal with the cold temperatures.
